There are two membership forms available for download - one is for deductions paid by Direct Debit and the second is for those who wish to pay directly from their salary (known as DAS). Both forms are in Microsoft Word (.doc) format.

Branch Representation Policy - the branch will not represent non-members at discipline, grievance, poor attendance or any other meetings or hearings.

If you are a new member, and your incident occurred before you joined we won't represent/advocate for you, but we will give you basic advice. After all, you cannot apply for car insurance after you've had an accident.

We take this stance because the life-blood of the CWU depends on members who pay regularly for union services. If people were allowed to join ONLY when they got into trouble then neither the CWU, nor any other trade unions, could exist.

You can of course prevent this from happening if you join the CWU today. We offer an excellent service and pride ourselves on providing the very best protection for members in case of a multitude of workplace issues.
